Проект расположен на Коммунальном автомобильном мосту общей протяжённостью 1100 метров. Это живое и загруженное место. Его шум и суета создаются машинами, хотя по мосту идут также и пешеходы. Расположение проекта даёт уникальное преимущество - его хорошо видно из множества разных мест: вид снизу у автомобилистов и пешеходов, хотя объект можно также легко заметить с реки и окружающих парковых зон, из поезда, который идёт по другому мосту, из лодок, плывущих по реке, если она не замёрзла. Протяжённость и возможность привлечь внимание определили расположение этого объекта.

Первая супрематическая книга Лисицкого - история о том, как два квадрата, красный и чёрный, изменили мир. Это «научный романтизм» Лисицкого, аллегория четвёртого измерения и его влияния на мир 3D. «О 2 квадратах» - это книга с иллюстрациями для детей, но она также предназначена и для взрослых. Проект предусматривает новое использование иллюстраций в книге. Высококачественные иллюстрации из книги висят над мостом. Благодаря большой протяженности моста, они будут достаточно отделены друг от друга. Таким образом, история двух квадратов будет раскрыта при движении вперёд. Таким образом, функция моста будет обновлена: из простого инфраструктурного объекта он становится порталом в мир Эль Лисицкого и в то же время дает городу возможность создавать новые выставки.

City location

The project is located in the Communal Autoroad Bridge, built in 1955. The first bridge intended for vehicules across the Ob river, with a total length of 1.100meters. It is a lively and busy area. Most of its hustle and bustle comes from the cars, but there are also pedestrians going across.

The project location in the bridge has the remarkable advantage that it can be easily seen from many different spots; The view from underneath is what both automobiles and pedestrians get, but its overview is also easily seen from the river and parks surrounding it, from the train which crosses the other bridge and eventually from the boats sailing the river when it is not frozen.

Its length and its possibilities of catching people’s sight have determined the election of this element.

Idea:

The Lissitzky’s first suprematist book is a story about how two squares, one red, one black, transform a world. It is Lissitzky’s “scientific romance,” an allegory of the fourth dimension and its effect on the three-dimensional world.

“About 2 Squares” is a picture book for children, but it was also aimed at adults. It could be said that the book’s function was to show to the children the importance of the Communist revolution. The project aims to use the book’s illustrations in a new way: introducing its author- El Lissitzsky- to the nowadays Russian society and become a departure point to show his work to the world.

Project:

High-quality illustrations from the book are intended to be suspended in the air along the bridge. Taking advantage of the bridge’s length, they would be quite separated one from the other. Therefore, the story of the two squares would be discovered while moving forward.

In this way, the bridge’s function would be reinvented, as it would change from a simple infrastructure to a door to the world of El Lissitzky, while giving the city the opportunity of other new interventions.
