Dynamic Progress

This proposal focuses at the avant-garde ideology and the existing infrastructural characteristics of Novosibirsk, such as the Siberian Academy of Science (research) & industries (production), which constitute the staples of progress and evolution, i.e. future, while it is interacting with the environment where it is located. The monument will be placed in the Siberian Academy’s Library, as this is a place of contemporary thinking and personal development. The structure forms a steel framed cube with an internal steel framed staircase that exceeds the height of the cube and symbolizes the evolution beyond constructivism. Every single step has a different depth and height that represents a variety of everyday achievements and it is made of the scientific waste used from the researchers, which reflects the future viability of evolution and allows the monument to evolve with the scientific progress.
