Стальная геометрия / Steel Geometry
Steel Geometry
In order to replace this movement to it context, I choose to place it behind the monument of Lenin at the Lenin Plotchad of Novosibirsk. This somehow may repair the fact that it was forbidden for the constructivists to make modern art during the Stalin era.
This monument is inspired by the architecture of the Soviet exhibition Pavilions and the First Paintings of the Russian Avant-garde.
A Steel triangular structure stands on two feet: a cylinder and a parallelepiped rectangle.
This Same Structure holds a circle with the basic geometrical figures of the plane, all in a dynamic movement as the first paintings made by this movement.
A circle crowns the ensemble and gives the allure of a fighting man as all the constructivism were fighting for the revolution, for new changes in their society.
