Париж, Берлин, Лондон, Нью-Йорк... Важные города мира. Что делает их такими, чем они остаются в памяти людей? Знаменитыми достопримечательностями. Новосибирск - центр Сибири, самая мощная железнодорожная станция к востоку от Урала. Городская планировка определяется Обью, которая явилась причиной появления города. Но что можно сказать о силуэте города?

Цель проекта - дать Новосибирску достопримечательность, а также способ донести графически значение термина «Проун», используя язык конструктивизма. Лисицкий представлял проуны как застывшие моменты процесса, создание различных форм из парящих элементов с множественными перспективами.

Концепция Лисицкого использована в проекте в виде сооружения, основанного на модифицированном Проуне 5А, которое, в зависимости от позиции наблюдения, представляет собой еще три различных интерпретации других работ Лисицкого: Проун 99, Проун «Всё» и Проун ГБА 4. Четыре различных образа, считываемых из любой точки города.

Проект предлагает не только создание уникальной достопримечательности. При изучении «проуна» туристами, они узнают больше о концепциях Русского авангарда, что потом будет в их сознании ассоциироваться с образом Новосибирска.

Landmark

Paris, Berlin, London, New York. They are all significant cities over the world, and what makes them important and what remains in people’s memory are especially their well-known landmarks. A landmark talks about the city’s identity; when you are thinking about a city, your mind is picturing its landmark, and when you see this landmark on its own your mind is picturing the city.

Novosibirsk is Siberia’s center and home to Russia\'s most powerful relay station east of the Ural Mountains. Its urban plan expression is determined by the Ob River, the reason for the foundation of the city; but what about its skyline?

The aim of this project is to give Novosibirsk an identifying landmark as well as way to graphically explain the meaning of “Proun” and constructivism language. Lissitzky imagined prouns like images of a rigid process moment, creations of floating elements of different shapes and colours with multiple perspectives and meanings, depending on the experience of the viewer.

Lissitzky’s concept applied to the project is a main structure based on a modified Proun 5A artwork that will change depending on the angle the viewer is looking at it from, giving as a result three different interpretations of other Lissitzky artworks: Proun 99, Proun AII and Proun GBA 4. Four different images to read the structure from anywhere of the city and to let the eye create the artwork.

In addition, the monument will be attractive to visitors, who will be invited to go to the top of the structure and look back down to the city, have a meal surrounded by fantastic views, visit the modern museum and art gallery or just take a tour on periodic temporary exhibitions.

The project not only provides a unique tourist attraction to Novosibirsk, but also another meaning of symbolism: as visitors explore the Proun, they will learn about Russian avant-gardist concept and define a Novosibirsk image in their mind.
